Through the second half of 2019 and into 2020 extensive tests of the senor for screening of:

  • Sensitivity
  • Repeatability
  • Bonding material
  • Algorithms

The development has been supported by 3M, Denmark, Elkem Silicones ASA, Norway, Mermaid Medical AS, Denmark with bonding materials and ShortLink AB, Sweden with electronics. Below are two typical results of the sensor compared with the handheld Contour Next One from Ascensia Diabetes Care.

Application disclosed to Regional Ethical Committee and to the The Norwegian Medicines Agency for approval to perform a medical pilot study on a number of diabetics and non diabetics under supervision of Dr. Med (PhD) Kari Anne Sveen at Oslo University Hospital, Aker. The applications have been granted, but due to the Corona pandemic, the study is planned to take place in January and February 2021.
In June 2020 five students at Oslo Metropolitan University completed their bachelor thesis on the electronic configuration of the sensor and obtained grade A.
Two of these students are at present working on their master´s study degree on the sensor.
